Katie Young
My name is Katie Young and I race ATVs at the GNCC and Mountain State Hare Scramble series. I started racing when I was 5 years old, and took a break from it until I turned 12. I received a quad for Christmas one year and had a love for riding it ever since. After one year of riding it around my family farm, me and my family finally agreed to start racing competitively.
I believe what makes me a good fit for the fearless community is I am a very hardworking, determined person who will strive to make me the best possible version of myself on and off the race track. I am 100% against drugs and alcohol and I would not recommend doing them. ATV racing gives me opportunities to visit new places and new people. Racing definitely keeps me busy, whether it’s from working on my quad, to hitting the gym, or just going to the races in general.
Being a healthy person is so important to me, not only does it affect your physical heath, but your mental. Knowing you’re working hard and staying healthy is a big mind set with not only racing, but with anything. Staying healthy and staying away from alcohol and drugs is something I encourage everyone to do.
My goals for the future is to win National Championships and become a GNCC WXC Women’s Pro.
I hope I can encourage people to live their life fearless and stay away from drugs and alcohol!
